What is the difference between the “Felt Feet” and “Cork Lined” options for the backs of coasters?
Felt feet are little dots of felt in the corners of your coasters, which allow your coaster to slide along smooth surfaces without causing scratches. The back of the tile is exposed, otherwise.
Cork Lined is a square of thin cork to cover the bottom of your coaster. It prevents the tile from causing scratches on the surface it sits on, and is more grippy than the felt feet.
I like product XYZ, but would like to see it with different colors. Or those monogrammed coasters are neat, but obviously not my initials. Or I have a design in mind I’d like have made. Can you do it?

What are your coasters sealed with?
Midwest Coaster Co’s coasters are sealed with an epoxy resin that gives them a very glossy finish. This finish also helps to prevent your mug/glass from sticking.
You said they wouldn’t stick to my mug, but it is, and it left a mark!
I said it helps to prevent sticking. The finish can handle temperatures upwards of 180° F. The coaster may still stick with hotter mugs (for example, some teas are preferably brewed at 205° F, just under boiling temperature), however should release easily. Do not use these coasters as trivets for your just-out-of-the-oven pans, or kettles from the stove, that is just WAY too hot.
Now, about that little indentation from the bottom of your mug (or soup bowl, or whatever it may be)… The finish will actually “heal” itself in a couple of hours.
My coasters are getting dirty. How do I clean them?
We recommend a damp cloth and a touch of elbow grease. For stubborn spots, add a bit of dish soap. DO NOT USE SOLVENT-BASED OR ABRASIVE CLEANERS as it will eat the finish, and cause possible clouding.
Can I use my coaster as a plate?
While it is okay to put your drinking glasses on them, and pick them up to admire them and/or tell your guest to put a coaster under their drink, the finish is not food-safe. Just use a regular plate, that’s what they are made for.
My coaster doesn’t look EXACTLY like the image, what gives?
Many of the designs on Midwest Coaster Co’s coasters are hand-painted, meaning each piece is unique. The colors listed in the description will be present in each coaster, however pattern and distressing will vary coaster to coaster.
When purchasing sets of coasters which have hand-painted portions, we will do our best to get similar patterns and color blends on each coaster.

How can I pay for my purchase? Is it safe? Midwest Coasters Co has teamed up with PayPal to process the payment portion of your shopping experience. You can either use your PayPal account, or just use a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AmEx) through PayPal, one of the world’s most trusted transaction processors. All information about your payment is secured by PayPal and is not stored on our website.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
Only if you’re in the state of Kansas. Sorry Kansans, it’s the law.
How long will it take for my order to ship?
Orders will ship in 4-5 business days. (This is to make sure the epoxy resin finish has thoroughly cured on your coasters!)
Where do you ship to?
Currently, we are only shipping to the United States. (If you are international and NEEEEEEED to have coasters now, contact us for more information.)
How do you ship?
There are two ways to answer this. Here is my first answer:
Coasters are packaged to prevent breakage during shipment, all snug in boxes with some packing material/bubble wrap.
The other way I can answer this is by saying USPS. Depending on the weight of the package, it can be shipped First Class (under 13oz.) or Priority Mail, which typically all arrive within 1-3 business days from shipping.
Ooh, one thing to locals to the Little Apple area – we can do local pickup! If you fall within the specified areas (plug in your zip code to find out shipping options to see if you’re eligible for local pickup), there is no shipping charge.
How much is shipping?
Good question. If you add items to your cart, it will calculate shipping costs for you, showing you the options available based on weight. The only exception to this rule is if your purchase is over $100, your shipping is FREE! (No coupon required.)
